UHRI card deck
Design, Branding, and Marketing
I had the opportunity to work with the non-profit UHRI to create a deck of cards that informs users about their human rights and is fun to look at! The first 30 number cards features one of the articles from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the last 10 number cards feature “What if” scenarios to really get the users thinking about their rights. I really wanted to have a deeper meaning with these cards, more than the illustration for each one provides. So I assigned meaning to each aspect of the design. It all wraps around the concept that “We are splitting from what we call traditional. We are now leaning for a future of movement and change.” The split is seen in the traditional suit, the lean for a future is seen in the constant stripe pointed up, the movement is seen with the stripes that move up and down, and the change is seen with the color that changes throughout the deck. Can you spot any of these details within each card? 👀
After working on the cards I also had the chance to present and create advertising for them! Here is a short vide of how I imagine people playing an intense card game.
